Fun with a camera and mic
I was capturing some random video for work so I naturally clamped the camera to the passenger roll bar and relocated the mic to the rear bumper. I think the audio sounds pretty sweet.
I think I am going to tweak the setup and capture some better mountain road footage sometime this summer. enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZuGZpYEaoM |
where exactly did you put the microphone, in the rear trunk?
I am still looking for a good place to put it, currently it's above the engine between the engine cover and the carpet, sounds like this (a little muffled): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHPq8xTyLkQ |
Man I wish I was closer to Buttonwillow, I miss running there.
I gaff-taped it to bumper below the license plate. It was a shotgun mic with a wind sock. Next time I think I am going to mount it up a little higher. I haven't tried it at higher speeds so I cannot comment on wind noise. |
What's that behind the rear view mirror ? A garage door opener ? :)

man, i hate when people post good videos of driving their boxster and i watch them while i'm working. now i can't focus...
really - good vids! |
Ummm.... yes officer.... thats... uh... a "garage door opener"
 Now I just wish I had the PSE to make it sound even better. |
