Where to buy 997 shifter assembly?

I read a lot here about magic of 997 shifter assembly...

However when I search for it.. only short shift kits come up..

Can anyone please post a link or tell me where to buy it?

Thanks
Sasha

Here ya go, you can get it at Suncoast:

http://www.****************************************************.com/product/997SCU.html?Category_Code=986Tran

OR at Sunset Imports Porsche in Oregon http://www.****************************************************.com/porsche/

They'll probably have the best pricing..

Related question: Are Suncoast and Sunset parts usually pretty comparably priced? (I ask, because it seems with Sunset you have to actually submit a request for pricing. If prices are pretty similar, generally, I'd be more inclined to go with Suncoast just because it's easier.)

As far as I know, the 997 Turbo and GT3 use the same shifter, but the GT3RS uses a shorter version. The shifter in the RS is INCREDIBLE, but how much of that is the shifter assembly and how much is the actual gearbox (or for that matter, cables) is unknown.

I'm told that in our cars, the "regular" 997 shifter is plenty short enough, and feels great, but on 997 cars that I've driven it doesn't feel THAT short. Maybe a difference in gearboxes (don't the 997 cars use a Japanese box now?)?

I would imagine it's $10-15 difference if any, Suncoast has been great to deal with for all my orders.

Sunset I've found to have most things a bit cheaper than Suncoast from my experience.

They're easy to order from, just give them a call on the phone.

Thumbs up

Just install it in my 2003 Boxster 2.7. Did buy from Sunset Imports (997.424.010.00) for $180.09.
Took 35 minutes to install and WOW! Looks like I'm driving a new sport car! Go for it, that shifter is a must.
