Carrera GT in the flesh

Walked in to the Porsche dealership in Hilton Head yesterday and was pleased to see a Carrera GT sitting there. Wow what a car. I should have snapped a photo but didn't think about it. There was a nice black GT3 and several other choice cars there. I was in the middle of something and did not have time to hang out but next time I think I will spend the afternoon there.

See if you can take it for a test drive..LOL. We've had a few at track day events, but I've yet to drive one. Just listening to the sound was intoxicating enough, though.

It is the personal car of the dealership owner. Not for sale (but we all know everything is for sale)... I imagine that you would have to plunk down some serious earnest money before they handed you the keys for your test drive.

That is a nice store. I've stopped in a couple of times to look around and ended up staying for an hour or more. Really nice staff. That whole auto park is co-owned by Ken Griffey Jr. He's a real car guy.

I was very impressed with the complex, Great idea and execution.

The Porsche guys were great, polite, attentive, fun. Top shelf. I would do business with them in a second.

The Land Rover dealership on the other hand was snotty, overpriced, difficult, condecending pricks and real pains in the ass. I am still wishing them ill will at this moment. Everything I hate about car dealers.
