info please. my house was burgled they took my boxster keys stole the car then had a good old rally over local speed bumps..! been to the police compound today and the only visible damage i can see is the boot area under the car is caved in ..but there are also what look like 2 round metal tubes on each side hanging down from each side of the front end ! they have been ground to a pulp are these some sort of temp sensors for the rads ! dont really want the car back if it has overheated with the damage to the sensors . also how strong is the boxsters front suspension with it being aluminium ! hairline cracks etc etc. i can see iam going to have a fuss with the insurance company ,,need some ammo when i call them ..cheers

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

The two metal tubes that you describe may be the resistors which are normally fastened to the chassis with clips. They affect when the fans behind the radiators are turned on, and at which of the two speeds.

I would agree that you will have to have a lot of ammo to fight the insurance company - if the front boot (trunk) area has been damaged you can be sure that the suspension (front and rear) will have taken a hammering.
Your OPC in the area is a good start for loading your gun - failing that a specialist like Autofarm or Redline Racing (I think they're in Cleveland - is not too far from you ??). You will have to pay up front, but you may need their expertise to verify ALL the damage......
Best of luck - I hope the scrotes get terminal hemorrhoids for their thievery......
