Boxster options

I am disecting the options on my 1999 Boxster. Have been unable to find options for numbers 236, 502 and 584. Tried my service manual and 986 forum. Any answers or ideas?

M236 - Internal code

M502 - Valmet - Produced by Valmet and assembled in Uusikaupunki Finland - VIN will start with a 'U'

M584 - Storage compartment above engine lid

Cheers!

This is the only site I found with those numbers. Even Renntech doesn't show those.

If you have a 2.5 engine with a 5-speed you have a basic Boxster...not many options on base units.

Huh...??? How many do you call 'not many'?

By my count, there are more than 150 options which can be ordered for a Gen1 2.5 base car, and that doesn't include the duplication of some of the option pkgs.

Cheers!

So, it's the dealer who usually orders the units with options and it depends what he can sell them for. To many options relate to not a lot of sells on a base unit. Also, then this would compete with S models that are usually loaded up by the factory and is more favored for the higher dollar.

Agreed, but there is no Gen1 'S' model.

But, if you ordered the car, then a list of options as long as your arm was available.

Cheers!
