Noticed something interesting!

I replaced my AOS last fall and I've been keeping a mental log on when I see blue smoke at startup. I've noticed that if I drive the car and park it for a long or short period of time - I have no issues. If I start the car up, pull it out of the garage, wash it, put it back in the garage and drive it the following day I get blue smoke on startup, everytime.

So this makes me wonder if it has something to do with pressure build up in the engine when you start it but don't drive it...

Just curious on others thoughts on this hypothesis.

Same happens to me. I thought it might be related to being parked on an incline.

mine is totally random

Only time my car has had any smoke of consequence on start up, is after being parked on an angle from driver's to passenger side or incline. Must allow the oil to pool due to the flat design of the case. I'm used to it though, as 911s smoke at almost every start up.

Mine has a little blue smoke sometimes. Remember, your cylinders lay flat and oil will run in behind it and may seep between the rings if the gaps get fairly close together and are pointed down.
