i have had two vacuum leaks recently fixed on my car, both were small plastic tubes that had worn/aged/cracked. you could see/hear them leaking when the engine cover was off...but i didn't chang eit out myself, my indie mechanic did.

each one was around $200 parts + labor. i believe one of them he sourced a used part off a parts car he has on his lot... so it was cheaper....

good luck.

If you don't know where the leak is, you can use an unlit propane torch to help locate it. The idle speed of the engine will change when you get close to the leak.

I had a vaccum leak. A porsche mechanic told me that my AOS was bad. I bought a new one and replaced it but still got code. Found out it was my brake booster hose (the one towards the front side of the engine on the left with the white looking ring) that had a hole in it. After that, I no longer got CEL. I still have my old AOS because I guess I was thinking that maybe it is still good afterall.
