1st Oil change

Hi All, entering into my 2nd year of Porsche ownership and plan to do my first oil change next weekend (Got raped for $275 at the Dealership last year and they over filled). I have a 2000 Boxster S with 36,000 km and ready to take it out of storage. Thanks to this forum i'm perpared for the oil change but have a question about the oil filter.

Should I stick with the porshe oil filter or the NAPA (NGF 7211 Oil Filter (Gold))

Any advice is appreciated

Thanks

Tony

Yes, use the NAPA filter, better made than the OEM units. And next year, change your oil before you put the car up for storage.............

Thanks JFP. Yea debated this on the forum before strorage, the consesus seemed to be to change it after storage.

JFP knows his stuff. Always change it before storing.

after storage???

I changed my oil just before storage (December). Is it also recommended to change the oil when you take it out of storage?

Got the Boxster out of storage today - she fired up nice, first time in 3 months.

Forgot what a pleasure the car is!
