Got me some Star Specs!

Ordered my tires yesterday and should have them on maybe this weekend!
Went with stock sizes as the fellow at Discount Tire looked at me stupid when I told him I wanted the new 265 rears...

I was like "yea check the TireRack site. New Tire. I need 2. Can you get them?"... *blank stare* "umm the tirerack site is blocked here..."

...

whip out the phone... navigate tediously... arrive at said tires... long story short, discount couldn't get them.. so I said, ah well, I'll stick to the stock sizes.. no surprises that way right :)

so i'm happy! fronts AND rears for 740 out the door with a $50 MIR on top of that so new tires all around for less than $700!

beautiful reviews on these things. i'll report back when i've had a chance to test em out a bit

Congrats! Now get out and do some autocross with those new tires!

stock on my 17" is 205 up front and 255 rears

tirerack had the 265's in stock, but discount was being a pain in the ass trying to get them.

You live in Texas, me I live Florida. Hot and rainy country. I looked at a lot of tires and I was always told to get the Porsche recommended tires. About $1200...purchased the Faulken 912's and love em. Ride is far better than Kumo's, handling is very good dry or wet. For everyday tire, and you can get a little radical now and then, they are superb. Now, I have been told they will not wear very well. Hell, it's a Boxster with an aggressive camber setting. It's going to wear tires and for $625 installed for 18's, I can afford to buy another set in a few years.

PS: Got them at my local Discount Tire Store...had to wait about 5 days til they came in. And yes, that is them on my car pictured here.
