987 radio upgrade

I have a CDR24 with bose option but i want to replace the head unit. Have you guys been able to do this? or is this complicated due to the MOST-BUS optical system on the bose systems?

IIRC, unless you upgrade with a compatable factory radio, you would also have to replace the amplifier.

Let me know when you figure it out juan cause my radio sucks!! Just too much static.

I wanna put in the ipod Denison thing but it would suck if the reception is still bad. The reason I'm worried is I originally had a hard line put in for the iPod and it was still static and interferrence. Project was a failure and everything came out.

If I can hook up the iPhone, I'll be a happy man.

I was not satisfied with radio reception either. I disconnected widsheild antenna and retro fitted a $5 standard antenna from auto shop under the trim pieces along the top of the windsheild. World much better now
