Anyone in Ottawa, Canada?
As I will be buying my Boxster pretty soon I am looking for a good Porsche mechanic in Ottawa/Montreal. Any recommendations guys?
Thanks! CR |

Bought the car last week and drove it all the way back home, from Santa Monica, CA to Ottawa! 4,700km!
The engine simply worked flawlessly. Extremely quiet, great gas mileage (8.6L/100km, 28MPG). Now got to do some minor things on it and get the car plated once I get it inspected by Mark Motors for the recall letter. CR |

Details on the car? In terms of getting the recall letter, once you have the bill of sale and US Title, you can fax copies to Porsche N.Am and they will fax you the recall letter. I found the phone number on the US Porsche site. You will need to call them first, then they will fax you the application, to which you complete and send back to them with the requested paperwork. You will also need to get the car inspected @ Canadian Tire to get the RIV stamp (most often all you need to meet Canadian standards is to have the DRL relay installed). PM me any questions you may have as I imported my Boxster from the States a few years back. (I wasn't brave like you and had mine shipped to Ogdensburg!) Cheers, Mike |
