Want to loose weight

I was wondering if anyone worked out
what 10 lb of weight saving would equate into result HP gain?
It might matter what year you have. I have a 2002 S.

Drag racers have a rule of thumb I've heard a few times. A 100lb loss is = to 10 hp gain on an average passenger automobile. Either one resulting in approximately a .1 sec improvement in a 1/4 mile run. 10lbs isn't very significant at all and would be roughly equivalent to 1 hp in terms of acceleration.

Get rid of your spare tire, over weight battery and try this once a day .

Probably pretty accurate. The good news is losing weight also improves braking distance, grip levels, cornering speeds, and suspension movement. On a tight road course 100 lbs weight loss might be worth 1/2 sec. Your mileage may vary.
