I want the door lights to go OFF

Did a quick search, but I can't find an answer to my question.

I want to be able to kill the door lights when either door is open. In other words, if I'm just hanging out in a parking lot somewhere and want to swing a door open, it's easy to kill the dome light, but have yet to figure out how to make the door lights go out.

Would appreciate any help.

It's a safety feature so it is not user adjustable.

As mentioned, either install a user switch (easy to do - could be discretely installed in the map pocket of each door - D-side only), or permanently disable them by pulling the bulbs.

Cheers!

Well, if you stop making drug deals in parking lots, you won't need to disable the lights... lol

Cheers!

you could probably wire up some sort of switch to have the door lights go off when you hit it on/off. it would likely be a PITA.

the little things are easy to pop out...i would almost think that if you are routinely NOT wantign the lights on when the door is open, to just pull the bulbs out...

yo might want to KEEP the lights on though - when you are picking up those hookers, you want to make sure you don't mistakenly get one of those he/shes... hahahahahhaa

Dang, I guess I asked for all this, huh? hahaha too funny!

I think that reading between the jokes tells me that they don't go off. So tell me, where is the switch that turns them on when the door opens. Have searched everywhere for the little plunger thingy...nothing.

BTW, the hookers I pick up I really don't want to be seen with, so there ya go!

im not sure to be honest but my guess is that its a part of the door latch itself. you could pull off the door panel and look for it if you so choose.
