porsche aircraft experience

I went to the one here in Phoenix yesterday. Lots of fun. Got to drive on an enclosed course. Choices were the Panamera, Boxster S, and 911 carerra 4s. I chose the Panamera and Boxster. Driving them was fun but being taken on a hot lap by the instructor was the best. It's amazing what these cars are capable of. The Panamera sounds incredible! And watching the instructors drift with four people in the car. Lots of free Porsche swag to. I am trying to figure out how to post pics. The files are to big to do it the normal way.

Oh, sounds like fun... by the thread title I thought Porsche was making airplanes now.

Flashback to 1988

The thread title caught my attention too, but as some old Porsche fans will remember Porsche did experiment with a Porsche powered civilian airplane in 1988.
I was able to go for a flight in the Porsche powered Mooney airplane at the 1988 Parade in Colorado Springs, CO. Somewhere I have a picture of my 911 sitting next to the Porsche/Mooney just before the flight.

Maybe Google has more on it, but I haven't checked yet.
