For a 986? You should've removed it from your Roock Boxster prior to selling it!

Seriously though, the cheapest is to source it used from someone looking to sell their car, and doesn't mind you swapping the Aerokit bumper with your plain bumper, and removing the skirts. The cheapest new would probably be from a dealer like Sunset Porsche.

Yeah, I'd guess going from a 3.6L back to a 3.2L would be punishment enough, but losing the nice looking bodykit is the icing on the cake! Seriously though, if you're willing do forgo the rear wing, you can probably get done for under $3k...

the 3.6 was nothing but trouble for me. the 125 mph blasts would get me in trouble sooner than later . it's was how well equipped it was and the body kit that hurts. Boxsters do not look right to me without the body work .

The side skirts are right here: http://www.****************************************************.com/product/98655998302and98655998402.html?Category_Code=986AK

If you want the OEM GT3 front bumper, just call them (ask for Rick), and he can probably get you a deal.

I bought my bumper cover from Germany for 500€ + 70e for the lip + 90 euros for shipping to Finland. Was such a great price, so i bought it before had my first Porsche
It was obviously new and original Porsche part. He also sells original AK2 side skirts for 400 euros/pair, which i will be replacing my rip-off skirts with soon.
Also got the bumper painted for 100 euros in a high-end body shop, as my brother knows the painter.

Then again, I pay more for a 2.5l than a 987 in the US.

All the aero II really is, is just a GT3 front bumper and side skirts (minus the rear spoiler/wing). There are numerous sources that you can purchase these parts from other than a dealer. In fact there are several after market companies that make a replica version of the GT3 bumper. However, most of them are made from fiberglass rather than polyurethane. If you are looking for the equivalent to the oem kit, check out www.mashaw.net. Last I knew, he sold the actual Porsche aero parts at a fraction of the cost.

I feel that's more so with 996Carreras. Aero makes a much bigger impact on a Carrera than Boxster. With no aero a standard Carrera look pretty vanilla.

p.s.
Don't skimp on the front bumper by going fiberglass. Not worth a $250 savings. Not worth a $500 savings either. The fiberglass on rough roads, particularly during winter, lead to cracked paint. And on a rear bumper that's just looking for trouble if you ever park on the street. I have fiberglass side skirting and I'm not sure I would do it again. At an intersection I made a tight right turn around a high curb and had I been going any faster the whole thing would have snapped in two like the Titanic. Luckily you can't see the damage unless you get underneath.
I went with the fiberglass because I wanted the MK2 GT3 look (with the crease down the middle like a BMW sedan) but that was never made factory for the Boxster.

Last I knew (and its been quite awhile since I spoke with them), they offered both their own series of body kits, as well as various and sundry Porsche oem parts. Specifically, the GT3 bumper and side skirts in polyurethane. The bumper that you are referring to, I believe is a replica version in fiberglass that they offer as well. In fact, most if not all of their products are fabricated by an associate company by the name of Getty Design. www.gettydesign.com

Well, if I'm not mistaken, MAShaw is all Fiberglass.

I spoke with MA Shaw today. The long and the short of it is, they use to be able to get the oem GT3 bumper and side skirts directly from a source close to Porsche in Germany. Currently, they don't have any of these items in stock. However, they're going to check on availability and get back to me.
