My top stays down. It is only put up if I'm out and get caught or if Wifey goes and it's too cold for her.
We're used to the Florida heat and I seldom drive it in the city and traffic, anyway. That does get brutal in July!! Besides, I'm from central Ohio, originally, and those summers are far more brutal than north Florida.
Weather in Jax has been great, several weekends in a row. Been colder than usual, but that means it's in the 60's most days!! We've had a remarkable string of our usual three days per week of rain running during the week with nice, clear weekends. I've put 2k on the Box since December and just on weekends.
I have several light colored, I guess originally, hunting shirts that have the big flap on the back with netting underneath. They are long sleeve, and along with a great synthetic fiber woven sports cap from Australia, summer top down driving is quite pleasurable. I don't like baseball style caps, as the brims are so big, it's almost like having the top back up. I also like to flip the visors all the way down and forward to "open up" the overhead view as much as possible.

Up here we are about 3-4 weeks away. Some guys were out over the weekend but I tend to wait until we get a few solid days of rain and the street sweepers have had a chance to get one round in.

Here we use a combination of sand and salt, so it can be quite treacherous on the body work if you get out too early.

Thumbs up

March 20th the Beepster is Sprung from it's secure heated storage ....

Check the tire pressure, reconnect the battery, start her up and a short drive to fill up with Shell 91 (no ethanol!) and a nice long cruise back home ...

It was a great day!

It rained quite a bit last week in MN, and the road salt has been washed away.
Yesterday hit 64degF, but I had not reinstated the insurance.
When I saw mid 50s forecasted today, I did not waste any time. Called insurance, took off a couple of hours early, and put on the first 80 miles of top down driving for 2010!
Slight chance of snow next week, but it will melt fast (I hope!).
