Another audio question

I am looking to do a "Full" audio upgrade on my 99 base. I have the factory door speakers and the 4X40 amp in the frunk. I plan to replace the radio, dash speakers and add the rear speaker box. I will install a nice 4 channel aftermarket amp also. Should I stick with 5.25" subwoofers or go to a nice full range speaker. I am also debating modifying the doors to accept 6.5" also.

I am afraid having 3.5" speakers and subs will leave the middle of the sound range empty…
I have read tons of articles on people adding the 6.5" but no real comparison of subs versus full range….

Thoughts? Experience?

Not much experience but I have a blog on something related (see sig)

I'm looking at completely replacing the OEM kit in mine for MB Quart 164 (doors) and PVI 210's (Dash) if they will fit in that shallow depth!

I'm in talks with a car audio fitter at the moment.

Looking at maybe a Kenwood 5240BT head unit using the Double Din kit thats available.

Have a read, you will find some interesting links there.
