I really like the ones from the 550 spyder special edition, even better than the '03/'04 lights. And at least when I bought mine, they were cheaper too.
 Cheers!

				Only $150.00

I went with LED due to cost. You really can only see the LED with the brakes and they are bright. You cant really tell the running lights are LED. The signals and back up lights are bulbs.

There are a few types of LEDs out there. Some that deviate from the factory look (DEPO is one brand, I believe), and the factory style ones that DamageINC123 has.
IMHO, the factory style lights with LEDs in them look the best. Unfortunately these were hard to find when I did my upgrade.

INC123: Your DEPO brand LED lights look good; very good for the price. How is the quality? I've seen some that looked very poor and cheaply manufactured...way too "rice" looking in my opinion.
Taz: Good score on the 03-04 lamps...I don't recall what I paid, but that sounds like a good deal to me.

I think on the new 09 Boxsters, the signals are still regular halogen bulbs.

On my 01, I installed the 03 tail lights, 03 soft top with the glass window, and the PORSCHE badge from the 2010 Panamera. Frankenboxster!

Boxtaboy, that is a GREAT setup. I'm not much into the LED taillight as every $200 cars out there have them, making them look cheap and unique. I do like your 03 taillight, badge and especially the top. Did you pay an arm and a leg for the top? How much was your setup?

Thanks. The tail lights I got years ago for $150, badge was $33, and 03 top I found for $700, which included the 4-rib frame.

They all look good. I also vote for the stock 03s over the LEDs, but it's great to see a decent looking budget option available. Nice find, DamageInc. A front & rear set would be even better.
But am I the only person on earth who actually LIKES the orange on the early 986s?? There's something vintage about them. Like the Boxster prototype in the Porsche museum. The orange looks especially good on the dark [Lapis?] blue cars.
