Converting to Speedster top ......

If you are fond of the Spyder and thinking about swapping over the top and doors this might help .

Likely be far less costly to just purchase a Spyder that someone has become disenchanted with. With some, the novelty is sure to wear off...

my thinking was to install some speedster humps, get a mold taken, and fab a fiberglass panel to replace the clamshell and rear trunk lid. remove the top and have a canvas guy convert it into a little speedster top.

I don't know about that it depends.

If the individual is fond of just the "look" of the spider than this would be a good option. I priced out the parts and it was in the ballpark of around 12k in parts.

Spyders run about 70k new and even given a few years will hower in the 40's to 50's as it grows as a collectors edition maybe come back up.
