Paint Flaws on my 2001 boxster

OK. This is what I found out from the dealer.....

"On Boxsters and 911s from 1997-2001, it was not uncommon to have a brand new car, come off the transport, still in it's wrapper, and there were milky white spots on the paint. Porsche came out with a technical bulletin for this issue. What Porsche wanted dealers to do was, give the car to your in-house detailer, and have the detailer hit the affected area with a heat gun. If applied very gently, the heat gun would disapate the milky white discoloration. The discoloration, if you look really closely, is underneath the clear coat, and physically inside the colored paint. With long flowing motions of the heat gun, constantly moving the heat around the area, the discoloration would disappear."

I will post an update as to the outcome. Hope this helps anyone is experiencing a similar problem.
