Used Zymol on car and now its a mist magnet

I obviously have done something wrong here. I cleaned my car yesterday, it was around 7 degrees temp. Using Megs shampoo and conditioner then shammy dry then applied Zymol Wax to the car as instructed on the jar.

After removing the wax It looked stunning with great deep reflections.

I went inside, came back out an hour later and my car looked like it had been sprayed in matte paint!

Running my finger across the paintwork revealed it was a fine water mist clinging to it :confused: The outside temp hadn't changed either.

No other cars around mine had this, just mine. the whole car, it looks daft.

So, what dumb ass thing have I done wrong as it still looks the same 24 hours later lol *sigh*

you may the other cars around you are unloved and not waxed at all

you will also notice non waxed cars sheet the rain off and dry fast , and now yours will sit covered in water beads

its just the way fresh waxed paint behaves

If it were humid when the wax was applied, you'll need to buff it out again. I once applied Zymol Carbon (my favorite wax) to my black RSA on a reasonably humid day; had to buff it several times to remove the haze.

Agreed: Zymol rocks, but you have to make a couple passes if the air is "sticky" or "muggy".

Ahh yes, it was a little muggy, like it wanted to rain all day. I will give it another couple of applications when the sun comes out and see if I can remove that hazy effect.

Actually, it ain't half bad here for being in the middle of the sunny UK *cough*

30 miles north of here and its a completely different (as in crap) weather system due to land topology, seriously!

As for my car, the hazy look has gone and left behind a stunning shine again so well chuffed :)

Sorry to contribute to hijacking the thread, but today it was too hot to drive around with the roof down - 38 degrees - thats Celcius guys.
