I got a Porsche Panamera...
Badge that is. :D Got the Panamera's PORSCHE chrome badge to put on my Boxster. Lol
Put it on today, and it looks even better in person, but here are the pics. Would've taken better pics, but it was 20F degrees out today! :) Hope you enjoy the pics... http://i47.tinypic.com/1673srr.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/30tkqv7.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/2a8na1e.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/2mxlumo.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/2vuav6a.jpg |
that is pretty sweet. looks good!

Very sharp!
|
Nice job, you must have a lot of patience. Looks great!
|
Haha.. Thanks guys. Actually, placement of the individual letters was not that difficult. Once you figure out the dead center spot to place the S (the middle letter), all you have to do then is to place half inch tape to the right and left of the S, and then place the next letter to each side and so on. Just make sure you get a long strip of painters tape to mark the bottom line where the letters will run on top of.
The factory letters are done top notch, and already have the 3M tape below them, so all you have to do is mark the right place to put them, and you're good to go. |
That's really cool looking! It's too bad it is doesn't curve with the shape of the car, but none-the-less it looks fantastic.

It looks tilted.
J/K! :D |
So where'd you buy it and how much was it?
I think I just might put that on my car. Maybe. |

Very nice. I may ask for one for my birthday.
|
So what's it like taking off the old emblem and putting hte new on? The long tail on the B of my original factory emblem is coming off due to snagging it with a wash mitt, and I'm not sure how to fix it.

Putting the PORSCHE badge on was pretty simple even though they were all individual letters: 1) Put a long strip of painters tape along the length of the trunklid where you want the letters to sit right above. 2) Measure where the dead center is to apply the middle letter (S) 3) Apply half inch strips of tape (the spacing I wanted between each letter) to the left and right of the S, and then affix the next letter to the right and left until finished. |

-1 on your current weather |
Please send some good weather our way! ;)
|
So the dental floss works to get the old tape off, not just the emblem?
|
Nope. The floss gets the badge off. Use something like Goo Gone to remove the remnants of the adhesive.
|
Looks great. Follows your theme perfect. Cant wait to see it in the spring.
|
Trying to catch up to you Jay. ;). Next up, side skirts. Maybe a 3.4... If my engine ever implodes. :D
Can't wait till winter's over tho. It's too darn cold here! |
lend me your car for a week and I will help you engine implosion. :)
