2000 Boxster S turned into a Lamborghini Mucrielago - "Like the real thing!"

you have to feel sorry for the guy...this must have been his dream.

To take a legendary car, spend hundreds, maybe thousands of hours, tens of thousands of dollars and realize, when he finished that all the time, effort, the money...was for a piece of junk that looks like a joke, that only a person who collects items built by insanely moronic people would want...I would wonder how is wife felt, but a guy who'd do something like this 100% does not have a wife.

IMHO

I never understood the replicar market. I'd rather drive a real piece of **************** than a fake Lambo. At least it I would be honest about being poor.

well said. It's like the guy in high school who stuffed a sock in his pants to get the women...sad, sad, sad, sad.

You mean I should take the sock out? :(

I can understand it in certain cases. I think it'd be fun to have something that looked like the ZZ Top car, but not want to hack up a real '34 Ford. In that case, dropping fiberglass onto an 80s Buick chassis makes sense; however, this is wrecking one sportscar to create something that can't compete with either machine.

It's never been my tastes to build or drive kit cars. I especially disliked the Fiero kits that made a terrible platform look like a cobbled together Ferrari. That said, almost all of us have customized our cars, seems we should be a bit more sympathetic to guys who take it past our tolerances for sensibility. We are the beer drinkers of modifications, they the alcoholics of modifications....

PS at least the Fiero was cheap underpinnings, this guy created a faux sports car that still has sports car repair tags, god only knows what accesses were comprimised in the construction of the Porschebo

Reminds me of the Scandinavian snowball ring with faceted diamels.

At least they could have turned it into a Carrera GT replica...(think I saw that on a Speed Channel show).

I suggest leaving the sock in. It creates better down force. :)
