I'm glad you found it. I wonder what was in that gas. Have you tried it in a lawn mower or something easy to drain?

Got on this thread late...if I just filled my car with gas and started having problems like you described, I would have dump the gas first thing, no ends or butts. That was a positive give away. Cars running fine, stop and buy gas and now I am having problems. The first thought you had was right. Bad gas.

Well I checked for water right off the bat, and then got sidetracked when that wasn't it. I still don't know what I could get dissolved in the gas that would kill it that fast. I had to go back and check my receipt to make sure I hadn't been drunk and sidled up to the diesel truck pumps! 14.1 gallons of 92 octane @ $2.639 though so I don't know. Back in the Navy one of my friends filled up the Navy van with diesel and it chugged along spewing black smoke all over the place.

Lol, way late Mark. I just updated the thread so if someone searches for it later, there's an answer at the end. I was told excess ethanol could have been the problem, and would have masked water in the fuel at the same time.

Oops - missed the third page! LOL - I'll blame it on old age and a short attention span.
