HID Ballast

Are all ballast the same? Can I use a 911 ballast for year '98-'04 on a '99 Boxster?

I would think the Gen II 02'+ 996 bi xenon headlights ballast would be different then the Gen I 996 that shares headlight styles with the 986 Boxster and it won't be an issue. I would call Sunset Imports to see if they would know though.
