so i pulled the fuse. hopefully that will do it. im goin out right now if it flies off then i guess we know the answer...
if anyone has an extra left spoiler piller please let me know. |
go to home depot or lowes and get something like this
http://www.drillspot.com/products/57913/Recoil_P701_Screw_Extractor_Kit Or take the pillar off, and take it to a machine shop and they will get the bolt out for you. |
thats what im going to end up doing in the end. but like i said i have broken 3 extractors trying to get it out. porsche put some loctite in there and well its doing its job. ill just have to price out a pillar or call suncoast

What about buying a left handed drill bit? Start to slowly drill it and if it catches it might back it out.

I think you're looking for part number 12 in the diagram below. It's about $100 bucks for a new replacement:

i used an extractor like what jhandy suggested and a reverse threaded drill. it actually broke lodging inside the pilot hole make it worse since it is a harder metal than the initial screw lol. its a mess. BUT ill just have a machine shop with a drill press or something bore it out for a slightly bigger bolt. or ill buy a new one i have to call a C n C shop and see what they charge thanks for the help guys

+1 for taking it to a machine shop. I know you broke some extractors on it, they may not have been the best quality... A machine shop deals with this kind of thing ALL the time, has good tools, and can probably fix it terribly fast.
My oil drain bolt froze in the pan. As a result the allen head got stripped. I took off the bottom of the pan and even with it out of the car, holes drilled, extractors, hammers, etc. I still could not get the frozen drain bolt free from the oil pan! I took it to a machine shop and honestly they took the pan into their shop and came back with it in 30 seconds and the bolt out. Cost - nothing. I just wished I had gone to them much earlier as I wasted 2 hours on trying to extract the bolt. Kirk |
