Wind Shield Scratches
One of the prior owners of my Box must have turned on the wipers with dirt on them because I have a swipe of very fine scratches across my windshield where the wipers cover. The scratches are very fine and cannot be felt when running my finger nail across them but are annoying to know they are there and when the sun hits them at a certain angle. Has anyone found a product that will remove them?

Glass polishes don't work in my opinion.
I replaced my windshield first of last year due to the pitting. Driving into the sun was like being in a snowstorm. |
You might try finding a detailer who could do. It might be worth spending $100 bucks (?) to have a professional do it. Don't know how much Randall spent on his windshield, but mine cost $950 bucks + $400 labor to replace.

Holy cow! I spent $440 total. Safelight Auto did it right in front of my office.

Eastman sells a glass polishing kit that has gotten good reviews in classic car circles.
I have no experience with it. |

Windshield prices seem to be all over the place. For the Boxster my insurance paid $744 (glass was 524 and is OEM) last April. For comparison, my Dodge Ram's windshield, which has to be twice the sq. footage, was $300 (glass was 170).
Both already have tiny chip marks. |
