Strange noise when I shift from 1st to 2nd...

Recently I have noticed a loud thumping noise coming from the center of the car underneath, right after I shift and put the car into 2nd gear. It’s not my clutch, because it’s brand new, only a few months old. And it only seems to do it when the car is first started. After driving around for a while and I reach normal engine temperature, the noise stops. It’s only when I go from 1st to 2nd. And only when the car is cold. Is this some sort of transmission problem? It sounds like a loud thump. I can baby it if I release the clutch really incredibly slow it doesn’t do it at all. Motor Mounts perhaps? Or is this normal until the car warms up and trans fluid is circulating? My car has 71k on it. I don’t ever remember it doing this before. But I could have been shifting aggressively. Anyone have any ideas?
