Just did an oil change and oil level is low already?
 

I just did an oil change maybe 500km ago and my oil indicator on the cluster came on with the last bar flashing. I checked the dip stick and it barely shows a oil reading. I used mobil 1 0-40 but I only put in 7 liters because the store only had that much. But still even with that I had a oil level reading at atleast 75% and barley a gas tank later I'm empty. What's going on? I park my car in the garage and never seen it drip oil...

Simple: You did not put in enough oil; the car needs 8.75 liters.........

Okay I understand but that still doesnt make sense. Where did the 7 liters go in one gas tank? Even if I put in 9 I still would have a low oil level reading..

Keep in mind that those marks on the meter represent very small amounts. And the oil went into the filter and other places it won't go with the engine not running. Just put in the rest of the oil the owner's manual calls for and all will be well with the world.

I put the rest in and all is well, I guess the meter is right at the top. Thanks
