No more smoke on startup, what's going on~
I used to get a puff of smoke from the vent behind the passenger door, if I leave the car sitting for a week or two and start it up. Somehow I haven't been seeing this recently. Just curious if that tells me something about the health of the car (or where it is trending). Or i'm just thinking too much! (well i'm due for my oil change this month).

A puff of smoke out the passenger engine bay vent hole means there was some oil dripping on the motor or exhaust components (most probably).
This could have come from a valve cover or some other area of your motor's passenger side. Valve covers are very prone to leak on our cars. My driver's side cam cover drips a little. When a pinhole leak clogs, it doesn't leak... for a while. When smoke goes away, smile. When it comes back real bad, stop smiling and get it looked at! |
You're all out of oil !!... :D
