broke the knob for the trip reset

Anyone know if these can be replaced?

If you can find the part, you can definitely replace it. I've had mine out before when I was chasing a squeak in the dash. Might have to get one from a salvage yard though.

I would think that the entire cluster would need to be changed, is that what you mean?

Did you just break off the knob head or did the stem snap off to the point where you can't extract it? (that sounds a lot dirtier than I intended it to be).

The knobs themselves are just pull-out/push-in replacements that you can buy a lot of places on-line -- mostly in "upgraded aluminum." But you can order them through dealers cheaply as well if you want to OEM.

Sorry to hijack, but where can you find the aluminum upgraded versions online? I saw these I like, but don't know where to get them:

mm

Broke the knob/stem, while pulling a rag through the opening(cleaning).
It can be replaced! Cool! I'll stop by the dealer.
Thanks for the info!

I've seen the metal ones on eBay from time to time -- last week in fact. There is at least one of the "major" parts dealers that carries them on-line. I'll check my directory later to see who it is.

I would check to see if you can still replace the stem. I thought if you broke the stem, it can't be fixed, but if you pulled off the knob by accident, that could be replaced.

Here are the standard black replacements -- at $10 for a set probably the best/only value in Porsche OEM parts.

If you can't wait for the silver ones to show up on eBay you can order them from the UK. The price: $OUCH.
