At a crossroads...
My Sirius radio is acting up, so I'm at the crossroads of:
1) Fixing it. 2) Tearing out my aftermarket headunit, the factory headunit, the amp in the frunk, and the subwoofer, and doing a console delete. Hmmm.... |

Call Sirius and see what they can do for you. Tell them that you want to cancel your account because your radio is acting up. They won't transfer you to their cancellation department, because they don't have one. Instead they'll transfer you to their RETENTION department, and they'll do whatever they can (within reason) to keep you. If you know how to negotiate you can possibly get a good deal on a new unit. I did this when I switched from XM to Sirius. XM gave me 6 more months free to try to "retain" me. Cool. I just finally canceled when my additional 6 free months were up. My Sirius portable unit took a dump recently. I called Sirius to cancel. They sold me a factory refurbished unit for much cheaper ($50) than what I could get a used one on eBay for. They also threw in a free arm band and a free home docking station. Then, with a bit of haggling on my part, they also threw in a $200 executive desktop system and even gave me free shipping on it! All in all it was just a crazy deal, but they kept me as a customer.... Kirk |
