desnorkel.. ecu

I recently desnorkeled my 02 boxster S... it sounded great... then i went away for a week and came back and it sounds back to how it used to before I desnorkled it.. could something be blocking the intake.. or someone told me the ecu eventually adjusts... is any of this true?

Sure. but your ecu would really have to adjust... more likely give you a CEL. Put atsick in there and feel around.

Personally, I think desnorkling is highly overrated, I could barely hear the diff. My guess is alot is in the head.

I for one could hear a definite difference after desnorkle, and I am constantly accused of having bad hearing. :) I haven't had any problems since desnorkle.

I think it's just in your head, don't worry about it....

I know this is silly, but you removed the tube completely, right?

<sheepishly> I have to admit that the first time I desnorkled I removed only the cup part of the snorkel. I then figured out that you have to remove the entire tube!

Otherwise I think it's in your head...
