GT3 seats and tricks for more leg room

I'm tight on leg room in the 03. Since they appear thinner are the GT3 seats able to provide more leg room? Any of you know any other tricks for more leg room. I'm going to do the counsel delete but still need more.
Thanks

I am not sure about leg room, but with B/K brackets they can give you more head room. For me, GT3 seats are a bother to get into and out of the car, but are very comfortable. I perfer them to the factory seats for comfort, even on 10+ hour road trips.

when you write "more legroom" so are you saying that you would like to push your seat further back?
If that's the case I'd say, yes.

I don't have GT3 seats but Momo racing seats and since they have literally no padding (except for a wafer thin layer of styrofoam) the backrest is much thinner, allowing your back to move closer to the firewall. What I eman is that the seats don't go any further back but you move maybe an inch further away, giving you more legroom
I believe the GT3 seats have way less padding that the stock seats so in effect you should get more legroom

I have the same problem, but have researched solutions extensively online. I am 6 4, the car fitment isn't awful, but I do hit my head on the rollbar, which is a serious safety concern.

I'm not keen on the idea of the GT3 seats right now, but reserve my judgment if I get a chance to sit in them some day.

Looking at the stock seat, there is plenty of room to gain by going to a racing shell seat, and mounting it directly on the floor. That is the route I am going, having just ordered a Corbeau seat with a variety of rails and a tunnel seatbelt anchor to play around with.

You can also do a 'foamectomy' to make the stock seat thinner. Best done by an upholstery specialist. I don't want to modify the stock seat, though (keep it for resale some day).

Another option is the 'center console delete,' which is available from Porsche. It is merely a piece of molded carpet to cover wiring if the lower center dash console is removed. Trouble with this is that my 02 has the climate control module in the bottom of this lower dash, and it looks like it won't fit into the top of the dash where the cupholders are. Has anyone swapped an earlier climate control module into an 02?

Moving climate control

I did this a couple of years ago, so remembering details is sketchy. Only took a couple of hours to move climate control to above radio. I believe I needed an adaptor piece to surround the face of the climate control. The guys at Sunset were able to tell me what to order. However, I ordered the console delete kit itself from Suncoast. Suncoast can probably also tell you what pieces you need to move the climate control - a lot of people do it to get more legroom.

I have some GT3 seats for sale in the classifieds. They do go farther back but you will eventually hit the firewall carpet just like any seat. When I moved them all the way back I couldn't reach the pedals and I'm 6 ft tall.
