I can't say I "loved' either vehicle, but wow.

Wow is right.

On the upside it signals quite strongly that they want to Porsche to focus on what Porsche does best: high-performance sports cars. That's great news for the brand long term.

That article said they'll introduce a cheaper than a boxster model. I bet it has a very dependable turbocharged 4 cylinder VW motor in it and the thing goes like greased lightning.

This is good. Completely changes the boxster's position as the poor man's Porsche.

It also means they'll raise the price of the Boxster/Cayman. Without the Cayenne and Panamera buttering both sides of their bread, they'll need the extra cash.

Overall though, I am very sad to see VW take over Porsche. We'll start seeing Jettas and Golfs being sold at Pcar dealerships as they tighten their economic belts.

while i can't say i loved either one, the panamera was actually starting to grow on me...
