Looking for an 01-02-03 Zanzibar Red 6 speed 986 S Boxster

I am looking for possibly the rarest of available colors. I thought i would post on here to see if anyone knows of any Zanzibar Red 6 speed Boxster S cars. 2002 would be good, although if the price were right on an 03 i could swing that, and if the price were right in the other direction on an 01 i would go there too.

If you have one please let me know. I believe this is a difficult color to sell as its not what most people prefer which is Silver. Personally i would never buy a silver car but thats just me.

So if youve got one, if you know someone thats got one, please let me know. I would even take one with a blown engine or one needing some work.

Full leather is much much much preferred

Thanks

Clearly that ad says Zanzibar, but i swear that looks like Orient Red to me.

I guess a call is in order, thanks for the lead, you can never tell sometimes with pictures and lighting.

Agreed. The Zanzibar seems to have more than a touch of orange to it, a la:

I Googled "Zanzibar Red Porsche Boxster" (as I'm sure you did as well) and found a few, but they seem to be either base models and/or automatic transmissions. Finding that color in the S model with manual transmission doesn't look real promising at the moment, does it?

I agree on the photo, but you never know (why would they list as Zanzibar?) A fellow Chicago PCA member has a Zanzibar Carrera GT...it is rather striking in person.

Looks like "tomato" red to me.

Being a south Jersey boy originally, I'm OK with "tomato red".
