Anyone has imported a Boxster from USA to Quebec Canada?

Problem with Speedometer? How to overcome beside changing the cluster?
Any trouble if coming from California? Which custom to pass?
Help will be greatly appreciated. :)

you won't need to change the cluster. You can change the digital speedo to Kilometers per hour and that should be fine. You will have to buy those air bag warning stickers that you find in almost every canadian car on the sun visors and stick them on there too. They only cost a few bucks from porsche. Other than that the car should be ok to pass inspection.

ramo80, thank you for the reply. it seems many people said the same thing, but have anyone actually imported one and did it like this. Because I know everywhere else in Canada is okay just to switch the digital display, but our wonderful province of QUEBEC seems required the analog gauge to be metric as well :(

I would call the canadian transport(link above) even if you get an actual example on here to to cover your azz. They have pre-clearance programs to help expedite it. http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/safevehicles/importation/pre-clearance/index.htm

Just google " import car from usa to canada "

Good luck and let us know how it goes. You could always move to detroit, where you can buy a house for $1 and claim residency. Of course they want you to live there for a few years.
