RCA and speaker outs?
Hi All,
just wiring up a set of the rear speakers into my 986 with a Pioneer head unit. The question I have is, I currently have the dash speakers running off my headunit (speaker out) and my sub running off the rear RCA outs on the head unit. Can I wire my rear speakers into the rear speaker out off the headunit even though the rear speaker RCA's are being used? And no - unfortunately my headunit doesn't have a sub out RCA connection.... :( Thanks guys, Sam |
All depends on which model h/u and the specs. For the most part though, they both should be active at the same time. So you should be able to wire the rear speakers off the h/u's high level outputs and be able to keep the sub connected to the line level outputs from it as well. You might have to change a setting in the set up but it should be ok.
Good luck :) |
Excellent - cheers mate, I'll give it a shot and see how we go!
