break pedal sounds like a spring is going to break
I have an 07 with 17K miles on it. It has been in the shop several times because the break pedal sounds like the tension on a spring or piston is going to break. Whenever I press down on the pedal it makes a creaky springs noise that the dealership said could not be fixed without replacing a pinion or something to that effect. They supposedly made an adjustment and the pedal is a bit easier to depress, however the sound is still there, which drives me nuts because it sounds like the pedal is going to break.
Anyone know if this is normal as the dealership in Albuquerque claims? I would think when you depress the break pedal it shouldn't make a noise. Thanks for all your help. |
You car's under warranty, so shouldn't the dealer simply be fixing whatever needs to be fixed without a long drawn out discussion?
Maybe if you take the service manager with you on a test drive, he'll get a better appreciation for the problem and you'll get to the point sooner. Gary '02 S |

I was just wondering if anyone else has a creaking type sound when they press on the brake pedal since the dealership tells me the sound is normal. I'll probably end up taking it to Colorado for warranty repairs since Albuquerque is the only Porsche dealership in New Mexico. |
