Alarm pad for a 99'

I just found the 2nd key to my old Boxster. The alarm pad worked fine when I had the car and it blinks still so I'm going to assume it's still good. Is it worth anything?

I think they are mostly useless if you don't have the little paper tag with the code number - they can't be programmed to a new car without it.

Shoot that sucks!
