Hi, I have a boxster '99 with pcm1, I want to update my system navigation to pcm2 but Porsche has told me its impossible for reasons optic fiber, I am not sure if this is correct, help me.
On the other hand I guess its possible update to pcm1 16bit, It looks to be more powerful than old 8 bit. is it worth? of which the update consists? cost?

PCM2 will not work in older Porsches with the non-fiberoptic system. Sorry.
