Recommended Leather Conditioning

Just curious what everyone uses to clean and condition the leather on their seats. Finally what do you use for your dash?

I use Lexol for leather, 303 for my plastic dash.

My family used to make shoes and knew a lot about leather, my uncle told me lexol has been around for a long time, he considers it one of the best. One thing about it though, distribute it evenly, if you spray and wait too long it will stain in the shape in landed in.

Lexol is fine but not my favorite.

1Z Leather from openroadmotoring.com is the best I've used. Leaves the leather clean and has no yellowish residue.

For the dash Klasse VLRP (vinyl, leather, rubber, plastic) is my go to product. Works well on steering wheel.

For quick interior clean ups I use the my #1 most versatile product for non-organic surfaces FK1 #425 from finishkareusa.com.
I buy it by the gallon on it goes on everything but the leather and canvas. And I mean everything. Wheels, glass, paint, headlights. I even use it on my touch screen and LCD monitors.

I condition my leather with Leatherique once or twice a year and then use lexol conditioner for maintenance intervals. I love Leatherique products. It leaves a very deep conditioning moisture to the leather.

+1 on Lexol, but I also use the leather conditioner from Griot's...it smells really good; like fresh leather, and works great.

Best leather care products I have used are from www.colorplus.com. My leather looks better than new.

I've used (and still do) Leatherique products with good results, but it would never really make the dash (which is leather) or steering wheel have that new look, then I was cleaning a pair of leather shoes with what the shoe store sold me and decided to try it on the dash and steering wheel and was impressed with the look afterwards and weeks later still looks great, even got those salt stains from your hands on the steering wheel off.

Just rub it in with provided applicator and let sit a few minutes then wipe down with a micro-fiber cloth.

If you use Lexol, you might want to test it first on a small part of your interior before doing the whole thing. I did the whole interior in my Firehawk. I couldn't drive it for about two months after that because as soon as I got in it, my sinuses closed up and I got a sinus headache. I must be allergic to something in it. I can't be the only one.

I think Leatherique is the best product going, but I use Lexol as well.

Leatherique products are one among several good ones out there. The key to properly treating leather is getting your hands on it, literally. Your bare hands work best because it allows you to feel the leather; the warmth of your hands helps the product work into the leather properly; and, you don't waste product by soaking it into a towel. It also helps you "become one with your Boxster."

I don't know about the other brands recommended, but I found that Sonus does a good job if you don't want a shiny finish. Sonus give a nice matte finish that looks OEM. But it's hard to find locally - I order it online.
