Do you remeber these Porsche's?
ok I was just a kid back then but the old Martini liveries were always a favourite of mine.
I'm thinking this season for track and autocross (driving instruction) NOT RACING (in case my insurance and warratny is reading this), umm yes for driver's education sessions I'm going to protect the paint with some vinyl covers. Last season I used the old blue roll of 3M painter's edging tape. This year I'm going to be a litte more creative and in addition to my Magnetic number I'm going to try to duplicate the Maritini racing design. I hear in NASCAR they have stoped painting the racing cars and cover them in vinyl because the quick turn around time required between races prevnts the paint from being stripped and painting over several layers add weight. If you have dealt with a magnetic vinyl/decal company feel free to post their contact info. http://www.surfcitymodelcars.com/mod...ars/ren063.jpg http://store1.yimg.com/I/eagleday_1822_3861768 http://gpma.org/Images/dk936a.jpg http://www.iol.ie/~donohoer/Porsche_...nt_quarter.jpg http://www.geocities.com/lance1604/24001.jpg |
What a beast...I remember these from childhood...but I think I only realize now how hard it must have been to push these things to their limits...
Pure driving. |
It is nice to go to vintage races these days and see how fast these older 911s can still make it around the track. Powerful and light, a nice combo!
