Electron Tops??

Anyone ever heard of this company or seen one of their Boxster tops?
I did a search for 'electron' and not getting any relevant results.

An installer in Georgia today today tried to talk me into getting their glass model over the GAHH one. He said it would 'fit better' and offered a 3 year parts and labor warranty on the whole thing for about $1850, about $50 more than he wanted to install the GAHH top.

Any thoughts??

thanks guys!

I have an 01 Boxster, too, and a local installer in the Houston area quoted me $1000 for new Electron top and install, but not with the glass. He claims the Electron is as good or better than the GAHH top. I'll let you know how it goes after the install.

I checked their catalogue online and they do indeed mention a glass model.

Strange I can't find any other information on the interweb about their boxster tops. I was hoping to find a picture or a review. I'm not installing one on my car just because some guy on the phone said they fit better.

Also, this guy said he would travel to me and have it installed in 3-4 hours which really works with my schedule. :)

Your opinion and photos will be appreciated, especially if you do the glass top.

How about I post my paypal account, and if you guys pay for a chunk of it i'll get it and give you a good thorough review replete with all kinds of good pictures. cool? :)

Otherwise for my money I'm going with GAHH one. I haven't heard anything about this top, no pictures, nothin. I don't think I want to be the first....

seems like a lot of money for a product with no pictures or revies (positive or negative)

I use Electron Top for domestic tops. GAHH for others. GAHH has the ultramax top. I have installed 5 of those. I am told the ride is quieter. If you have a problem, GAHH is very understanding. Electron, who I have had a few problems with, act as though you don't know what you are doing (40 years) until the get the old top. Plus, they won't pay labor to reinstall their defective top. Just my honest experience
