Just got exhuast done w/ 3.6L with PICS
 

I found a shop to put in 2" pipes from the headers all the way to the muffler deleting the cats only for $200. Car sounds more like a Porsche :D So if anyone lives in SC they will take off your cats. Car seems to move a lot better on the top end now.

K i put them in pdf so it'll fit, what do you guys think? The car seems to run better the more i drive it, must be the ECU learning it?

Not bad! If you ever have to remove the system for repairs, you might wish they hadn't welded the pipes to the mufflers. How are you dealing with the loss of the cats and keeping the check engine lamp off? ROW ECM flash?

The check engine light has been on ever since i got it either to to using a boxster intake part with the 996 motor or a software issue so not sure if removing the cats would trigger the light. they used 3 diff pipes on each and they did a good job. Do you know if our ECU learns that the car is breathing better and increasing HP due to that? Kind of feels like it.

Those appear to be mild steel instead of stainless; how long do you think they'll last?

I guess at that price, who cares...

Ya i believe it is mild but should last at least 5 years or so. Anyone have any input regaridng the computer learning that the exhuast is breathing better therefore getting faster?
