987S Vs All R&T Article?

Did anybody get the new Road & Track (March '05) which features the "Best All-Around Sports Car" competition?

They competed

Z4 3.0i
S2000
SLK350
Corvette
Elise
987S
997S
Viper SRT-10
350z 35th Anniv.

The 997S finished 3rd and the 987S 2nd!!! The editors thought the 987S was the greatest thing since sliced bread, and of course like always, it finished behind the Corvette due to price. The 987S also set the all time R&T slalom time. Better than Enzo, better than everything. Crazy.

Yes in Car and Driver (I should know the Mag. name after a year subscription), the 987S came out #1
against the SLK, Corvette Convertible,That big ugly cadillac drop top.
The article was called "go topless" or something.
They weren't crazy about the materials used in the interior but they gave it #1
despite its higher price over the Chevy.

The road test article was great. Mid engine physics are very very tough to beat.

Hey, I love most of the cars they tested. And the Vette is a performance bargain!

PL,

Yea, I just got my Car and Driver today. Man, two awesome articles from two magazines (well both from the same parent company) about the 987S.

Anybody driven/own the new S?

Is it as awesome as both articles suggest?

Notice how in the Car and Driver article the 987S beats the Corvette convertable, while the 997S lost to the Corvette coupe  I guess $$$$$
