Hail of an Afternoon

Just had my roof replaced last fall from all the hail storms that went thru in the summer. A couple of hrs ago it hailed harder than I've ever seen. Luckily it was big pea sized hail but it totally covered the ground.

Then a wall cloud arrived. It's actually about a mile away, not just across the street. It decided to dissipate and went back up into the cloud rather than touching down.

It could be a bumpy spring / summer.

been there too!

I live West of Kansas City. We had one hail of a storm last night. I had standing water in my garage. We had hail about the size of what's in your pics. We had lots of it too! The worst hail I've ever seen in my life was in the early 90s in Wichita. I'm not kidding, baseball sized hail everywhere. It destroyed a friend of mines car. It looked like someone went around it with a sledge hammer.

I got home about 5 minutes before that hail hit.

Besides, I'm probably not going to move unless my beloved Huskers decide to pull up stakes and leave. But if I was going to move, I'd probably go to Temecula, CA. However, they burn down from time to time.

CaptO - glad you beat the hail. It's an extremely helpless feeling watching your car get blasted by hail. Doubley so if it's a P-Car.

I'm with Husker Boxster, I like it where I live. Weather is something we all live with. Floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, freezing temps or or so hot and dry you can fry an egg on the sidewalk. You can find something wrong with anywhere you are.

Here in OKC, the people are great, the community is growing fast and jobs are plentiful. I think I can put up with a few twisters and spitting hail every now and then. Move? No thanks.

Go Sooners!
