headliner

i've got a warped headliner on my 2002 boxster. Is this difficult to change out? Is there a suitable aftermarket headliner available or is the dealer the only game for this part. Mine wants $800. to replace it. MB

Aftermarket headliners don't come with the plastic parts that are warped. To replace the headliner, the top has to be removed. A repair of warped part is as follows: Remove front and sides of top. Peel back top to access defective headliner trim piece. Drill tiny hloes in plastic edge and metal header. Use stainless steel wire. Start at edge and work to center using wire to tighten headliner. Have fun I have done many of these.
