milage on used cars
I have been looknig for a used Boxster for about 9 months now and have found a few cars that I am interested in. I was just wondering if buying a certified pre-owned 04 S (tiptronic) with 47,000 miles is better than looking at non Porsche dealers selling 04 and 05's with lower miles (25,000-30,000) and NOT certified.
The car at the Porsche dealership is perfect and was sold and serviced there. The other cars have no records other than Car-Fax. What kind of repairs would be in the near future on the 04 S would I be looking at verses a lower milage car? Additionally, down the road, when it's time to sell it, how much will the added milage affect the value of the car??? I assume that I will keep the car for five years and put about 5,000 mi per year. Any information will be a great help in making my final decision. |
Mileage is just one number to the equation.
