Non-Amber Light Bulbs
Hello Everyone -
I am searching for some clear light bulbs that blink orange to put into my clear side markers and my tail lights. What I would like to know specifically, is where did you get them? What exactly are the bulb numbers, etc. I have used search, searched E-bay and have become little more than confused and overwhelmed. If you know of somewhere to get them and the details, do let me know. I would much appreciate it, I'd love to have them in before spring. Many Thanks, Josh |
The ones I purchased for my lamps are silver, not clear. When powered, they shine amber. There are a number of sources, but IIRC, I bought mine off eBay.

Thanks jmatta -
I picked up a set of those form the link provided today. Hopefully they work well. I will install them and let everyone know how they worked. |
I want to know where to buy the parts to make the headlights and side markers of my 2000 Boxster look like those of the 2003+ Boxster: I want to get rid of all the orange; what and where do I buy?
thanks! |
I got some bulbs from these guys.
http://www.xenonmods.com/newporschedecal.htm Good stuff. Rear and sides are now amber free. I am trying to decide if I want to try to deamber the front. |
painted bulbs
I removed my orange bulbs and used spray paint to color them silver. I have read else where on the forum that this does not work and the bulbs will not flash bright enough. I disagree with this statement. I left one orange (stock) bulb in one of my tail-lights, and then put a silver spray painted bulb in my opposite tail-light, then turned on my hazard lights. The color and brightness difference between the two flashing bulbs was barely noticeable. For not costing anything but a can of paint and no waiting for shipping, this seems like a decent option.
